8 Months Later

It's been 8 months since I moved to Virginia.

The first couple of months were hard. I cried here and there. I missed home. I missed my friends who knew me and who I knew.

I still do at times.

But 8 months later, I'm happy to say that I'm adjusting and finally feeling at home. I felt so happy today hosting my church friends for dinner. It was suppose to be an informal hang out but the whole staff ended up coming and we had so much fun. We ate good food, had nuclear chicken ramen challenge, and played bunch of games together.

I'm in a place where I'm in a good place with God, family, my boyfriend, and new friends I made here as well as the old.

Today gave me a sense of hope that I can do anything with time and effort. I'm excited to see what 2018 will be.
